What is Naturopathy?

Naturopathy is a system of medicine that uses the healing power of nature. Naturopaths use herbal preparations, diet and nutrition, and natural supplementation to support the body to self-heal and restore itself back to health.

What is the underlying cause?

Naturopathic medicine aims to get to the underlying cause of illness. Naturopaths address digestive function, bowel health and use iris, nail, tongue and skin signs to ascertain what could be causing ill health. Lab testing may also be used to determine causative factors.

Naturopathic medicine treats the body as a whole.

Naturopathic medicine treats the body as a whole connected being rather than focusing on individual body parts and symptoms. Natural medicines and nutrition are used to help rebalance and bring back homoeostasis.
